Pool Policies
- The following policies and rules are designed to provide the greatest amount of safety and pleasure for all members and their guests. Constructive criticism or suggestions regarding operations or personnel should be made in writing to the general manager. Members are asked not to reprimand staff and employees of the club directly.
- It must be understood that SAFETY is the top priority for our entire pool staff. Lifeguards are provided to ensure the safety of all swimmers and are not allowed or expected to act as baby-sitters.
- Parents are expected to personally supervise their children and guests and this responsibility does not cease because a lifeguard is on duty.
- It is the responsibility of each member to inform his guests and babysitters of all pool rules. Each member is personally responsible for the conduct of his guests while on club property.
- Only permanent members of a household shall be listed as eligible members on your membership application.
Guest Policies
- Overnight Out of Town (outside Johnston County) guests are allowed to accompany members free of charge. Members must register all guests upon entering pool area.
- Johnston County guests may accompany members a maximum of twice per month and must pay a guest fee upon registering. Guest fees shall be $5 per person on weekdays, $8 per person on weekends and holidays.
- Grandchildren (18 years of age or under) will not be charged a guest fee when accompanied by a member grandparent.
- Babysitters need to be registered and will not be charged a guest fee when accompanying a member's child. Babysitters must be 15 years of age or older. NEW Key Tags with Photo!!
We have a key tag system for admission to our pools & facilities. All members (3 years and up) will need to come to the Glen Laurel Pool to have photos made and pick up corresponding key tags. Each member of the family (nannies included) will need to come by at one of these times to have a picture made & to pick up a key tag. If you had key tags made in a previous season, please use them unless there are significant changes to appearance.
- Each family member, 3 years and up, must bring their key tags to the pool each time they visit.
- Nannies and babysitters will need to get key tags and have their pictures taken. They will be listed as non-members and linked to the family they are babysitting. They will only be allowed in the pool when they are with the children of the family they are babysitting.
- Your key tag will expedite the check-in process and secure access to the pools.
- If you lose your key tag, you will need to purchase a new one from the Office. The cost is $5 each. Please contact Theresa Jack in Membership Services at 552-2255 ext. 102.
