GM Notes We are very excited to announce the hiring of Mauricio Ramirez as Full Time Tennis Professional at Glen Laurel. Mauricio is from Colombia, South America, where he played tennis during high school and college. He moved to the United States 16 years ago to pursue further studies in Biology. He obtained a PhD from Ohio State University and moved to North Carolina in 2000.Working as a Tennis Professional combines his two passions, teaching and tennis. He started his tennis career at the Millbrook Exchange Park in Raleigh as a Tennis Instructor teaching children and adults. Most recently, he has conducted tennis programs in the Stonegate community in Wake Forest and taught private lessons in Raleigh and Cary.He has played on several USTA teams, and last year his team went to the State Championships in Pine Hurst. He is a full time member of the Professional Tennis Registry. He lives in Cary with his wife. Ted Reese We encourage you to get involved in both our swim and tennis activities.
